Investigative Resources
Justice For Woody is committed to providing journalists with the resources needed to investigate and verify the evidence of a conspiracy to obstruct of justice by Howard Dean and William Sorrell in the matter of the Robert Woodward shooting.
When released on April 2, 2002, Sorrell's "Woodward Shooting Report" was available with a packet containing the evidence upon which it was based.
This packet includes the eyewitnesses' written statements, police reports, transcriptions of 911 calls, recorded eyewitness and police interviews, written statements and transcriptions of recorded interviews taken from attending police, firefighters, and EMT staff, sketches of the shooting scene, and official's recollections of the unrecorded March eyewitness interviews.
Analysis of this packet forms the basis for the September 24th, 2002 "Justice For Woody Report", the group's narrative portrayal of the incident and critical analysis of Sorrell's report.
Analysis of the packet, along with official's subsequent statements, also form the basis for the group's November 26, 2003 document "The Robert Woodward Shooting - Evidence of a Conspiracy to Obstruct Justice".
In order to facilitate research, the entire contents of the evidence packet is available online as indexed scans. The contents are presented using the organizational structure in which they were released, with index pages allowing direct access to each of the over 400 pages.
In addition, the online version of "The Robert Woodward Shooting - Evidence of a Conspiracy to Obstruct Justice" contains hyper links to the precise pages of the evidence to which it refers. By following these links, journalists can rapidly verify the supporting evidence upon which the document relies.
It is our intention to enable journalists to approach the charges and their supporting evidence in an investigative manner.
Justice For Woody spokesperson and co-investigator Paul Borneo is available at (413) 367-2444 to answer questions about the charges, the evidence that supports them, and the process by which the conspiracy was detailed.
